Where the journey

Welcome

Welcome to FCSC 3341: Human Development in Early Adulthood. This semester, we will explore the social, emotional, and physcial development experienced during the emerging and early adult years. Generally considered to be from the age of 18 to 25, early adulthood is a time of learning and exploration and requires special considerations by helping professionals.

Our Mission

Our mission this semester, is to learn about theories, issues, and interventions appropriate for working with early adults.   To encourage us to integrate higher order thinking into our work, we will engage in "Willeaux's World", a learning game through which we will explore developmental concepts as we work to rescue Princess Willeaux from her evil captor.

Books and Resources

We will be using two books as our primary guides this semester:

Not Quite Adults and Emerging Adults in America.  In addition, we

will be using selected online resources to supplement our learning.
